We are looking to onboard a self-driven Master Mariners, Chief Engineers from Global Maritime (Ship Owners, Operators and Charterers) or Technology organizations, with exposure of handling large maritime companies in Sales or Fleet Performance, Chartering or Shore Operations.



This role requires a deep understanding of maritime operations, performance optimization strategies, and data-driven decision-making. Aspirants need to be comfortable in fast-moving ambiguous situations.



This is an in-office role (those looking for a WFH or Hybrid role need not apply).



Total Work Experience: 20+ yrs



Desired Skillset:


  • Master Mariner / Marine Engineering certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Should have worked with a reputed Vessel Operator / Technical Manager in active sales or customer facing role of vessel acquisition for technical management or complete operational management.
  • Proven experience in a senior role focused on voyage performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data to derive meaningful insights.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to voyage performance.
  • Excellent CXO level network in maritime space across the globe.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Experience with data analytics tools, machine learning algorithms, and performance monitoring systems is preferred.
  • Understanding of SaaS products and their application in the maritime industry will be a bonus.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, drive innovation, and deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-driven, effective as an individual contributor, have led international business, have proven experience of acquiring vessels from owners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and spoken skills is required.
  • Some travel is expected. Knowledge of foreign language is a plus.


Responsibilities:


  • Help expand Smart Ship Hub fleet of “Digitally managed vessels”. Acquire more vessels under the digital platform.
  • Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long-term partnerships
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key maritime industry clients, key stakeholders at client organizations.
  • Provide ongoing support to the commercial team by identifying customer needs and ensuring our SaaS solutions meet these requirements.
  • Own the customer lifecycle from POC through renewals ensuring that clients have a dedicated contact.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and our technical team, translating technical details into business value.
  • Lead the Vessel Performance and Voyage Performance teams in developing and implementing strategies to optimize vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Utilize data analytics and advanced technologies to analyse voyage data, identify performance trends, and recommend actionable insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, and Operations to integrate new technologies and solutions into existing products and services.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fleet performance optimization.
  • Monitor industry trends and process relevant client inputs to provide input to the product development team for new product lines and product enhancements.
  • Help automate current work of the Voyage performance team and Chief Engineers.
  • Disseminate and enhance the domain knowledge of the entire team. Be the anchor for overall domain knowledge of the team.

Education:


  • Bachelors/Masters in nautical science or marine engineering, from a globally reputed institution.
  • MBA from global management institutions.
